# Breve > Breve is a menu bar companion for Apple Calendar on macOS 26: your next meeting with a Join button, the day at a glance, and quick-add in plain language. No account, no subscription, nothing leaves your Mac. Breve is a menu bar app for Mac. It lives in the menu bar only, with no Dock icon and no window, and works on top of Apple Calendar: whatever accounts are in Calendar on the Mac (iCloud, Google, Exchange, CalDAV) show up in Breve. ## What it does - Up next: the next event, with a countdown and a Join button for its video call. It can also show the next meeting's title and countdown in the menu bar itself. - Join: finds call links for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, FaceTime, Slack, Jitsi, Whereby, and opens Zoom and Teams links in their Mac apps. - Notifications before a call starts, with a Join button. - The day at a glance: a week ribbon or month grids, with each day's events drawn as a bar; today's agenda shows the free time between events. - Quick-add in plain language, in English and Portuguese: "lunch with Ana friday 1pm at Prado #personal". It previews the event and warns about clashes before adding it. - A global keyboard shortcut opens it from anywhere; ⌘J joins the next call. ## Privacy Sandboxed, calendar access only. No account, no servers, no analytics. Calendar data never leaves the Mac. ## Price and platforms $9.99, one-time purchase. Requires macOS 26 Tahoe or later. There is no iPhone, iPad, Windows or web version. - Buy directly: https://buy.stripe.com/REPLACE_ME - Mac App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/breve/idREPLACE_ME ## FAQ ### Which calendars does Breve work with? Any calendar you've added to Apple Calendar on your Mac: iCloud, Google, Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, Yahoo, CalDAV and subscribed calendars. Breve reads and writes them through macOS, so there's nothing new to sign in to. ### Which video calls can I join? Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, FaceTime, Slack huddles, Jitsi and Whereby. Breve finds the link in the event's location, notes or URL, and opens Zoom and Teams straight in their Mac apps when you have them. ### Is my calendar data private? Yes. Breve is sandboxed and only asks for calendar access. It has no account, no servers and no analytics; your events never leave your Mac. ### What does quick-add understand? Plain English and Portuguese: days like "tomorrow" or "24 Oct", times like "3pm" or "15h30", ranges like "3-4pm", durations like "for 45 min", places after "at" or "@", and a calendar after "#". Before you press Return it shows where the event lands and whether it clashes with anything. ### Is it a subscription? No. Breve is a one-time purchase, with updates included. ### Should I buy it here or on the Mac App Store? It's the same app either way. Buying here supports the developer directly; the Mac App Store handles installs and updates for you. ### Which Macs does it run on? Any Mac running macOS 26 Tahoe or later. ## Contact David Duarte, REPLACE_ME@example.com
